Taking Care of Yourself When You Have a Child with Down Syndrome

For ALL parents of a child with Down Syndrome.Whether you are new parents, or seasoned parents...

Being a parent of a child with a disability can be a very challenging experience. In raising a child with Down Syndrome you will experience many ups and downs. If your child is very ill (medically) this will add to your stress.

Raising a child in itself has great rewards, but it can also be quite tiring. Even more so when your child has Down Syndrome. There are doctor appointments, therapy visits, playgroups, seminars, and more make time for. My advice...Prioritize! Don't try to "do it all", you will get burned out!

Some helpful hints to keep you (and your family) happy. You know the saying, "if mama's not happy, nobody's happy!" (or something to that effect)
