Nursery Needs and Baby Needs



NURSERY NEEDS
  • Crib
  • Crib mattress
  • Bassinet and bedding
  • Crib bedding - mattress covers, fitted sheets, crib bumper
  • blankets, receiving blankets
  • Changing table
    • diapers
    • wipes
    • diaper rash ointment
  • Diaper Pail

BATH NEEDS

  • Baby bathtub
  • Hoooded towels
  • washcloths
  • Baby shampoo
  • Baby bath soap
  • Baby lotion
  • baby nail clippers

(use nail clippers and scissors with extreme care on newborns - many pediatricians do not recommend using either when your baby is young)

  • cd or tape player
  • baby lullaby cd's or tapes
  • CLOTHING NEEDS

    • A few too cute outfits!
    • 6-8 baby-shirts
    • 4-6 sleepers
    • 3-4 gowns
    • 6-8 pairs of socks/booties
    • warm hat if its winter
    • in summer just a newborn stocking cap will do
    • baby laundry soap

    FEEDING NEEDS

    If you are breastfeeding

    • breast pump
    • breast pads
    • nipple cream
    • nursing bras,/li>
    • 2-4 bottles with nipples and caps
    • Breast milk storage bags and/or bottles

    If you are formula feeding

    • 8-12 bottles with nipples and caps
    • bottle brush
    • bottle sterilizer
    In both cases you will need plenty of burp cloths

    Aside from nursery needs you will also need:

    • A carseat is an absolute must!

    • Stroller (I love the carseat/stroller combos)

    • A baby "kangaroo" carrier
